Sensory-Friendly Vaccine Clinic Now Being Offered at NorthLakes

How many of us when younger heard the word shot and then ran in the other direction?  Or, how many parents dread bringing their child to the doctor because of shots? You are not alone and now a partnership between NorthLakes and the Autism Society may be able to help. We’re working together to bring sensory-friendly vaccine clinics to our medical locations, in hopes of helping patients.

Addiction is Complicated

Addiction is a brain-based disease. It changes the brain’s neurological structure, which can impact how an individual acts and their decision-making process. Addiction affects the entire family unit, bringing chaos and instability to the whole family. At NorthLakes, we recognize the impact addiction has which is why our Recovery Program works with individuals struggling with substance use and family members affected by the addiction. Both are working on their recovery process and developing skills to decrease the risk of relapse during stressful situations. 

Family Nurse Practitioner Joins Hayward Clinic

Family Nurse Practitioner, Ashli Srmek has joined the medical team at NorthLakes Community Clinic – Hayward. Ashli is seeing patients of all ages and is a welcome addition to the staff. She earned her Associate of Science degree in Nursing from Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, and her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing degree from Chamberlain University in Downers Grove, Illinois.

Matt Digirolamo Joins NorthLakes

NorthLakes Community Clinic has added another member to the team providing Behavioral Health services. Behavioral Health Therapist Matt Digirolamo sees patients ages fifteen and older at both the Ashland and Iron River Clinics. Matt earned his Bachelor’s degree at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana and his Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University in Draper, Utah.

NorthLakes Community Clinic – Rice Lake now offering Pediatric Therapies

NorthLakes Community Clinic is now offering Pediatric Occupational Therapy, Pediatric Physical Therapy and Pediatric Speech Therapy in Rice Lake.  The new Rice Lake Clinic is operating out of the former space of Marshfield Children’s Rice Lake Pediatric Therapy Clubhouse located at 1035 North Main Street after Marshfield Clinic Health System agreed to lease the space to NorthLakes and the two organizations worked closely to expedite the process.
