Here Are Just A Few Reasons To Join NorthLakes Community Clinic

Our Culture

Work culture matters because we spend much of our life at work. While our patients are our number one priority, it all begins with caring for our employees. We believe it’s important to have a warm and inviting environment and culture that values and supports our employees’ well-being, growth, and success.

If you’re committed to wellness, growth, and patient success, and love our collaborative and inclusive approach to healthcare, then we have a place for you here.

Our Mission, Vision, and Values

Our belief system is the backbone of all the work that we do. It’s also a top reason that our talent shares with us why they applied to work here. We believe that having a shared purpose of working toward a common goal, inspires, invigorates, and motivates our employees to ensure that everyone has access to healthcare services.

We encourage you to learn more by reading more about Our Beliefs.

Outstanding Benefits

We invest in our employees with a variety of benefits that ensure that you and your family are well taken care of, and that give you the support you need for outstanding health, a rewarding career, an enriching life, and an even brighter future. These benefits are designed to help our employees live their best life. These outstanding benefits are just one of the reasons why we’re able to retain and recruit our top talent.

Our Impact

We’re more than just a clinic. The opportunity to make a difference extends past our clinic walls, allowing our patients to stay informed and gain access to the services that they may need. All throughout the year, we have engaged staff members who actively promote wellness programs, organize community-building activities, and hold fun events throughout our service areas. These activities and events show appreciation for our communities, provide a public service, and fund programs and services, with the goal of increasing the quality of life of our patients. We believe that inclusive collaboration truly improves the health of our communities.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

We value and celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our doors are open to everyone and we believe that inclusivity, acceptance, and belonging, where all voices are heard and supported are paramount to providing healthcare to everyone.

One of the ways that we demonstrate this commitment is through our participation in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Healthcare Equity Index (HEI) every year. The HEI is an LGBTQ+ benchmarking tool that evaluates healthcare clinics’ policies and practices related to the equity and inclusion of LGBTQ+ patients, visitors, and employees. In 2015, we first achieved Top Performer status as a healthcare provider. Since that time, we’ve worked consistently to maintain that status and improve our ability to sensitively and effectively meet the needs of the LGBTQ+ community, and not just as a health care provider. We also want to be an employer who understands and addresses their needs and concerns, including removing barriers and disincentives to accessing care.

During 2020, we partnered with the American Indian College Fund to help establish the Indigenous Healthcare Scholarship to create better access and visibility to healthcare careers for Native American students.

Continuous Growth

To increase access to services, we’re continuously growing and embracing change. Since our conception in 2008 at our first location in Iron River, we’ve merged and acquired multiple clinics and opened clinics in new communities, and therefore, we’re always looking for ways to increase our talent pool. To accelerate our growth to provide the best possible patient-centered care to the communities that need it, top talent like you is needed to fill a wide range of positions throughout the many communities that we serve.

Our Small-Town Advantage

There truly is a hometown feeling working here. We’re made up of a close-knit group of people who take the time to build a human connection with each other and support each other in a variety of ways so that they are successful in their roles.

We bring many of the services that you may find in an urban setting to the comfort and convenience of small towns. By bringing these services to rural communities, we help patients remove healthcare inequalities. Our patients also have the benefit of leaning on experienced team members who’ve planted their roots in small towns, and therefore, we’re able to provide them with the expert guidance and personalized treatment that they deserve.

As a result of the advantages that NorthLakes offers to our underserved populations, many of our employees find their work especially rewarding because they can make a difference in the lives of our patients with care that they may otherwise not receive elsewhere.

Living in northern Wisconsin has its perks. Outdoor recreation is a top reason why our employees call it home. Our region offers an abundance of all-year-round outdoor recreation that our employees can experience, which makes living here dynamic and fun. If you love the Northwoods, you’re in the right place, and we encourage you to apply at one of our scenic 18 locations.
