NorthLakes Brings Vital Services to the Community
A ribbon-cutting event officially welcomed NorthLakes Community Clinic to Augusta, marking a new chapter of accessible healthcare for area residents.
On December 9, 2024, NorthLakes Community Clinic held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its 20th location in Augusta, Wisconsin. This new clinic, which began serving patients on October 14, 2024, was established to fill the gap left by other primary care providers recently leaving the area. NorthLakes now offers both Behavioral Health and Medical Services to address the essential healthcare needs of the community.
Speakers at the event included NorthLakes CEO Reba Rice, Director of Regional Operations Carrie Roberts, Clinic Manager Heidi Dubberke, State Senator Jesse James, State Representative Karen Hurd, and Augusta Industrial Development Corporation Chair Cathy Tepaske. Each expressed gratitude for the warm community welcome and the collaborative efforts that helped bring the clinic to life. Special thanks were given to the Augusta Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and Unity Bank, who were instrumental in supporting this vital healthcare initiative.
The clinic, which includes long-time local provider Dr. Mark Gideonsen, Family Nurse Practitioner Tina Opelt and Behavioral Health Therapist Amanda Putnam, is now accepting new patients. NorthLakes Community Clinic serves individuals with Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance and offers a Sliding Fee Scale for those who qualify.
