NorthLakes Community Clinic – Turtle Lake Welcomes Tamzid Mafiz, DMD
Turtle Lake, Wisconsin – NorthLakes Community Clinic is pleased to announce that Dr. Tamzid 
Mafiz has joined the team and will be providing dental care to the Turtle Lake Community. He will see patients of all ages.
Dr. Mafiz earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Midwestern University located in Downers Grove, Illinois.
Becoming a dentist was not his plan when he arrived from Bangladesh, “It was an accident, a friend had to tell me what a dentist was.” Now he can’t get enough of it.
“I love being a dentist. I am typically a quiet, reserved person, but when I am at a dental convention or conference I get very excited about all of the new technology and sharing information with colleagues. It brings out the kid in me.”
Dr. Mafiz will be joining NorthLakes from another Federally Qualified Health Center in St. Paul. Prior to becoming a dentist, he worked in the development of a variety of dental and health technologies in the Twin Cities area.
“I haven’t lived in a small town before now, so I’m anxious to see what it is like”, he said when asked about moving to Turtle Lake.
Dr. Mafiz is a movie buff, enjoys meeting with friends and finding new restaurants.

NorthLakes Community Clinic – Turtle Lake remains open and is accepting new patients during the pandemic. The clinic is open for some in-person services.
