100 Who Care Sawyer County Selects The Park Center
NorthLakes Community Clinic is proud to host 100 Who Care Sawyer County, a local giving circle that brings community members together to support nonprofits making a difference across the region.
At the most recent gathering, members selected The Park Center to receive this round’s collective gift of $10,000 to support the replacement of the center’s awning and exterior signage.
The Park Center opened in 1948 as a movie theater and has operated as a nonprofit, volunteer-run performing arts center since 2006. For twenty years, it has brought local, regional, national, and international performers to Hayward and the surrounding community. The Park Center also serves as an important gathering space for community events, including the Musky Queen Coronation and recitals for local youth dance and tumbling groups.
Today, The Park Center offers a diverse year-round schedule featuring live music, theater, film, dance, comedy, and more. Through admission-free Quarterly Artist Showcase concerts, affordable student tickets, and partnerships with local organizations, The Park Center works to make the arts accessible throughout the community.
The Hayward Community Choir and Sawyer County Historical Society were also recognized as finalists during this giving round and recieved $1,600 each from the Finalist Fund
Hosted by NorthLakes Community Clinic, 100 Who Care events connect neighbors, highlight local nonprofit work, and turn collective generosity into meaningful community support.
