NorthLakes announced the opening of its new healthcare facility in Oconto, significantly expanding access to essential medical services for area residents. The 10,000-square-foot clinic adjacent to Bellin Health Oconto Hospital represents NLCC’s commitment to addressing critical healthcare needs in Oconto County.
“Today marks a transformative moment for healthcare access in Oconto County,” said NorthLakes CEO Ana Tochterman. “This new facility enables us to not only enhance our existing dental services but also introduce vital new services to meet community needs.”
Two new services—Behavioral Health and Chiropractic Care—will now be offered, along with expanded Dental and Patient Supports. We anticipate Optometry coming soon.
NorthLakes welcomes two new providers:
Claire Tomashek, DC, CCSP (Chiropractic Care)
Joining us from our Park Falls Clinic, Claire is experienced and passionate about improving a healthy lifestyle for patients of all ages. She uses various techniques, including manual adjusting, drops, and instrument-assisted adjusting. She also incorporates soft tissue, dry needling, and exercise into her patient treatments. Claire is interested in helping athletes achieve peak performance and mitigate injury.
Sheila Gohr, BHT (Behavioral Health)
Coming from the Green Bay area, Sheila has over fifteen years of experience working with a variety of concerns and life challenges, such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, divorce adjustment, grief and loss, relationship issues, self-esteem, and ADHD. Her areas of specialization include eating disorders and OCD. She works primarily with adolescents and adults.
This expansion addresses a crucial gap in local healthcare services, particularly in mental health care. The facility’s strategic location next to Bellin Hospital creates a centralized healthcare hub for Oconto residents, streamlining access to various wellness services.
“Our vision for this facility extends beyond traditional healthcare,” Clinic Manager Hannah Schad shares. “We’re creating a welcoming space where patients can access comprehensive care regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. This aligns with our core mission of providing an integrated array of quality services and actively removing barriers to wellness.”
The facility’s opening follows months of careful planning and construction by IEI Contractors. The project is a collaborative effort between NLCC and Bellin Hospital, and the land acquisition benefits both organizations’ operational needs.
“This facility shows what can be achieved when health systems work together,” said Julie Bulin, Vice President of Bellin Health Oconto Hospital. “Our partnership with NorthLakes is bringing new opportunities for comprehensive care to the people of Oconto County, improving offerings and helping us pave the way for a healthier tomorrow.”
