Position: Behavioral Health Therapist
Education:
Masters of School Counseling, Concordia University-Wisconsin
Professional Interests:
Shannon believes healing happens through safe, trusting relationships and developmentally appropriate care that honors each person's unique experiences and strengths. Drawing from the Neurosequential Model, play therapy, and somatic therapy, she views behavior as meaningful communication and works to understand the nervous system, developmental, and relational factors that influence each individual.
She uses play- and body-based approaches to help children and adolescents build self-awareness, regulate emotions, process difficult experiences, and develop resilience. Shannon strives to create a compassionate, collaborative, and culturally responsive environment where children, adolescents, and their families feel supported, empowered, and able to grow.
Personal Interests:
Outside of work, Shannon enjoys activities that support wellness and connection. She practices yoga, enjoys swimming and skiing, and values spending quality time with her family. She also volunteers at a local animal shelter, where she enjoys supporting the care and well-being of animals.
Patient advice:
Be patient with yourself and remember that healing is a journey. Listen to your emotions, behaviors, and body with curiosity rather than judgment, and trust the strengths you already have. Meaningful growth comes through small, consistent steps, and you don't have to take them alone.
