Master of Arts in Counseling, Lakeland University
Laurie enjoys working with patients of all ages (6+) and supporting those experiencing emotional or behavioral concerns, including trauma, anxiety and depression. She is passionate about helping people feel better, improve their quality of life and build emotional resilience.
Laurie uses an eclectic approach to care, drawing from a variety of treatment methods to meet each patient’s individual needs and goals. She believes every person’s journey is unique and works collaboratively with patients in a safe, nurturing, kind and respectful environment. Her goal is to help patients strengthen coping skills, build supports and create positive change.
Laurie enjoys spending time with family and friends. In the summer, one of her favorite places is Door County, where she enjoys the beautiful shoreline and natural scenery. She also enjoys reading, movies, and flower gardening.
Life can be very challenging at times, and no one should have to suffer alone. Asking for and accepting help is courageous. Having a confidential and nonjudgmental space to process difficult emotions can improve overall physical, emotional and behavioral well-being. There is hope, and you are not alone.
