Professional Interests:
Katie Jo works with children, adolescents, and adults and has special interests in treating anxiety, depression, eating disorders, body image concerns, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and the effects of trauma, including abuse, bullying, assault, and domestic violence. She is also passionate about supporting individuals who have experienced social injustice or discrimination based on their beliefs, background, identity, or life experiences.
Katie Jo uses evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), person-centered therapy, and trauma-informed therapies. She strives to create a safe, welcoming, and trauma-informed environment where clients feel heard, respected, and free to share without fear of judgment. She believes therapy is a collaborative process and is committed to listening deeply, validating each client's experiences, and advocating for their needs.
Personal Interests:
Outside of work, Katie Jo enjoys all things Disney, reading autobiographies, spending time with loved ones, playing games, exploring new places, and watching comedy shows.

Be open and honest with your therapist so we can provide the best care possible. Therapy is a collaborative process, and your voice matters every step of the way. If something isn't working or doesn't feel right, let your therapist know so your treatment can be adjusted to better meet your needs.
Katie Jo is also happy to provide Christian or faith-based counseling for those who would like to incorporate their faith into therapy.
