As a specialist for kids five and older, I enjoy caring for adult patients too. My philosophy centers on a team-based approach, where patients are active participants and decision-makers in their care. This team extends beyond the clinic, drawing on supports both within and outside the mental health system to meet each individual’s needs.
Care goes beyond prescribing medication. I focus on building natural supports, setting achievable goals, and using medication as one part of a broader, individualized plan.
My professional interests include working with children and their families, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, prenatal and postpartum mental health, and supporting individuals experiencing substance use challenges.
My favorite pastime is spending time with my grandchildren. My husband and I also enjoy exploring antique stores and traveling together. Many of our trips are shared with friends and family, creating meaningful memories not only of the places we visit, but of the experiences we share with the people we care about.
Don’t hesitate to make an appointment—and try not to let worry build leading up to it. We’re here to help, not to judge. The more open and honest you feel comfortable being, the better we can support you. Most patients find that the first appointment is much easier than they expected.
