Iron River, WI – Each year, White Winter Winery brings some “jazz” into the seasonal transition from winter to spring. They host a Speakeasy Cellar Jazz fundraising event that includes a swinging band from Chicago, costumed participants, games, libation and food. This year it happened prior to the “Safer-At-Home” home order being issued. This year, the funds raised were donated to NorthLakes Community Clinic. Shown here is Reba Rice, NorthLakes CEO with Kim Hamilton, owner of White Winter Winery during a virtual check handoff of $2,100.00.
The funds will be used for the NorthLakes Iron River Clinic’s operations. With COVID-19 and the greater stress to maintain capacity while ensuring safety, the cancellation of many of its community outreach services in the schools and the increase of its non-billable community support services, this generous donation and others was greatly appreciated. If you are in a position to help us during this time, we humbly ask for your financial support. Every gift makes a difference. Please see NorthLakes donation page at: https://northlakesclinic.org/donate/.
This fundraiser could not have happened without members of the local community, including many businesses donating their food, drinks, and prizes.
NorthLakes asks small businesses for in-kind donations for events that they hold throughout the year. With the “Safer-At-Home” order, we now need to help them in return. So please consider buying a gift card or gift certificate from them to support them during this time.
Thank you!
