“My philosophy is patient-centered and family-focused,” says Schmitt. “I believe in working collaboratively with each child, their family, and other healthcare team members to develop a successful treatment plan. I meet children and their families where they are while gaining an understanding of where they want to go.”
Britt’s professional interests include sensory integration, emotional regulation, postural control, balance, coordination, and cognitive functions such as problem-solving and attention. Her approach emphasizes celebrating each child’s successes and building confidence through therapy.
