NorthLakes Community Clinic welcomes Yessica Barron, LPC-IT, SAC-IT, to its Behavioral Health team. Bringing a wealth of experience and compassion to her role, Barron now offers expertise to patients at both the Hayward Clinic and Minong Clinic.
Barron earned her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with a specialization in marriage, couple, and family counseling. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a minor in sociology, from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.
A US Army Veteran, Barron remains dedicated to serving and helping others. She has a passion for working with individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds and is particularly interested in addressing addiction as a medical and neurological condition.
The provider will see recovery patients at the Hayward Clinic, helping folks address substance use concerns in a supportive and understanding environment. While Recovery Services are not available at the Minong Clinic, Barron will provide behavioral health therapy at both locations.
“My philosophy of care is that people have their own, individual story to tell, and when they are ready to tell it, I will be there to listen,” she shared. “My approach focuses on aligning the mind, body, and soul to achieve harmony.”
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Yessica’s ability to connect with patients across languages and cultures underscores her commitment to accessible care. She encourages patients to view their therapy sessions as a safe space for exploration, saying, “This is a safe space where you can feel free to explore your past, present, and future.”
