Marinette, Wisconsin – NorthLakes Community Clinic’s new location in Marinette has opened, greatly enhancing the ability to break down barriers to wellness in the area. The new space is the former site of Sears on Cleveland Avenue. Services include Behavioral Health, Chiropractic and limited Dental services.
“The providers and staff were ready for this move,” says clinic manager, Lauryn Baranek. “We are excited to be able to have the space to offer Dental and in-office Behavioral Health for our patients, complementing the Chiropractic care we have been providing at our previous clinic.”
Dr. Ivona Cristi, who had been part of NorthLakes Community Clinic – Oconto, has moved her dental practice to the Marinette Clinic, using dental equipment that was purchased with funds granted by the Delta Dental Foundation of Wisconsin. The furniture that now inhabits the lobby was bought using a grant from the M&M Foundation, and the Otto Bremer Trust Fund supported construction costs. Associated Bank helped support patient support services for patients living in the region this past year while operating out of our former location.
As a Federally Qualified Health Center, NorthLakes Community Clinic accepts commercial insurance, Wisconsin and Michigan Medicaid, and Medicare. They also offer a Sliding Fee Scale for those who qualify, which helps with those who are uninsured or underinsured.
It is now possible for the Behavioral Health Therapists to see patients in-person instead of just virtually, which had been the case at the prior location and more space for Chiropractor Geoffrey Holloway to administer care. The 1,900 square foot renovation was completed by IEI General Contractors.
