NorthLakes Community Clinic is delighted to welcome Bridget Olson, OTR/L, and Anne Nischke, MOT, OTR/L, to the Ashland Clinic team.
In their roles as Pediatric Occupational Therapists at NorthLakes, Olson and Nischke provide a range of therapy services designed to help children gain independence and develop essential skills for both functioning and socializing. Some of that work includes improving balance skills, tackling sleep issues, helping with sensory processing challenges, learning disabilities, motor coordination and attention challenges.
State-of-the-art facilities and dynamic treatments enable the Pediatric Occupational Therapists to work together to help each individual achieve their full potential. Patients include infants, children, and teens.
About Bridget Olson
Bridget Olson taps into a wealth of expertise while serving the Ashland community. Along with earning a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, she also holds a certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
She brings plenty of experience and a deep passion for pediatric care to the Federally Qualified Health Center. Her professional interests include working with children on sensory integration, self care skills, emotional regulation techniques and feeding therapy.
Her philosophy of care acknowledges each child’s current capabilities, both recognizing and celebrating their strengths. While describing this approach to providing care, Olson said it “helps create goals and allows for growth and learning opportunities.”
When advising patients and their families, Olson encourages an open mind: “I would advise patients and families to be willing to celebrate your strengths. This will carry you to new achievements as we work together!”
Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking along the water, journaling, and creating new Spotify playlists.
