My professional interests are providing therapy to children and adolescents. I like to take a cognitive behavioral approach (CBT) and client centered approach when working with clients. I have experience working with clients who have depression, anxiety, suicidal ideations, self-harm, oppositional defiant disorder, disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, and ADHD. I have background in working with children and adolescents who have experienced some form of trauma in their lives including all forms of abuse and neglect. I have experience in working with families as well to help improve relationships among family members.
In my personal time, I like to cook and bake. I also enjoy being outdoors (hiking, fishing, camping). I also like to travel and experience new places. Family time is important to me and likes to spend time with my family. I also like to do crafty things, especially scrapbooks.
Total wellness includes mental wellness.
My favorite quote is "Don't wait for the perfect moment, take the moment and make it perfect."
My advice to clients is to come with an open mind. I am not here to judge you but rather walk alongside of you through your journey. I like my clients to feel supported and cared for.
