Jena is interested in providing therapy to children, adolescents, the entire family system, and couples with a trauma-informed and solution-focused approach. Jena has experience working in a group setting with military families. She also has provided school-based mental health services to the Clear Lake and Prairie Farm School Districts, to remove the barrier to care for our rural families.
When Jena is not at work she enjoys spending time with friends, family, pets, and being outside during the fall months in Wisconsin. She also enjoys cooking and coming up with Food Network-inspired dishes.
I would say some advice I would give them is: try to relax. It's a judgment-free zone. Bringing a list of medications is helpful just because we do talk about some of those things during our intake and it is nice to be able to reference them. And just knowing that this is a place where you can talk about anything that you want to and I am not somebody who is going to push you to talk about those hard things. It's really just going to come naturally, hopefully, you know, during the process of therapy.
