Betty likes to use Person-Centered Therapy along with Cognitive Behavioral, and Rational Emotive therapy. She is trained to use EMDR by the EMDR Center of the Rockies for trauma. She is trained in using the Matrix Model for Substance Use Disorder and Seeking Safety for women with PTSD disorders. She is currently taking some training in using Internal Family Systems. She is also a certified yoga instructor and likes to teach breathing techniques to children, teens and adults for stress management.
I love vegetable gardening and perennial gardens. I have a new interest in painting rocks and the therapeutic benefits of doing so. I also love being outdoors in the summer bicycling, motorcycling, walking, and snowshoeing in the winter months. I love lifting weights as I age for strength and flexibility purposes.
