NorthLakes is pleased to announce the addition of Krysty Damrow-Schmidt, DC, to its healthcare team at the Park Falls location. A Park Falls native, Krysty brings over five years of specialized experience in family chiropractic care, serving patients of all ages, from infants to seniors.
Krysty earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2019 and holds certifications in Cranial Sacral Therapy focusing on pediatrics and nutrition. She specializes in creating individualized care plans and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
“We are thrilled to welcome Krysty to our Park Falls clinic,” said Jessica Sufak, clinic manager at NorthLakes Community Clinic. “Her holistic approach to patient care and expertise in family chiropractic aligns perfectly with our mission to actively remove barriers to wellness. Her ability to work with patients of all ages, particularly her experience with pediatric and geriatric populations, will be an invaluable addition to our services.”
Krysty’s approach to care focuses on treating the whole person rather than just symptoms. “I focus on overall wellness—in my eyes, it’s not just about treating the symptoms but getting to the root cause,” says Krysty. “I take pride in empowering patients to take an active role in their health and have a multi-faceted approach that considers the physical, emotional, and nutritional aspects of health.”
For Krysty, returning to Park Falls represents a meaningful homecoming. “Growing up in this small and close-knit community was a formative experience,” she reflects. “The town’s supportive environment and countless educators in both Park Falls and Butternut helped provide a strong foundation not only in education but in fostering a sense of connection and resilience.”
Her deep ties to the community include serving as Flambeau Rama Queen in 2009, and she views her return as an opportunity to give back. “Returning to the area as an adult is deeply meaningful. It’s not only bringing me closer to family, although that’s a vital part of the decision, it’s also about giving back to the community that played a significant role in shaping who I am. It’s a true privilege to bring my skills and knowledge back home to serve the people who feel like an extension of family.”
