Sam Christman, LPC-IT, recently joined NorthLakes Community Clinic in Washburn to offer Behavioral Health Services to the surrounding community. Now available to see NorthLakes patients ages 4 and up, Christman offers care through intuitive listening and applying a trauma-informed lens.
“You are the expert on your own needs, goals, and path in life, and we are here to support you in your decisions and actions,” he says. This approach aims to empower individuals in their therapeutic journey.
Christman holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health from Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado, and is well-equipped to serve a diverse range of clients. Fluent in both English and Spanish – and with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature – he looks forward to working with people from a wide variety of backgrounds who are seeking quality mental health care.
Sam Christman is also dedicated to creating a therapeutic environment filled with empathy and curiosity. He tries to offer support at every level of healing. And having worked extensively with children, adolescents and adults, he makes an effort to ensure that patients of all ages feel heard and understood.
As part of his practice at NorthLakes, the therapist will also be providing much-needed Behavioral Health support at the Washburn-area schools, offering on-site mental health services to students and helping to bridge the gap between education and mental well-being.
Outside of work, Christman enjoys cross-country skiing and dog mushing. His passion for the outdoors reflects his deep connection to the community and his appreciation for the natural beauty of the area.
