Professionally, Josie is interested in a variety of Chiropractic techniques. Sympathetic tone/regulating stress response is a an interest of hers. This can help regulate fight or flight and promote healing and relaxation. She has a special table for a technique called flexion distraction that is excellent for acute and chronic low back pain. She focuses on the sacrum and pelvis in many patients, especially pregnancy and women's health populations. She will use blocks and a drop table to balance the pelvis. She loves working with vertigo and headache patients because outcomes are so important for quality of life. She adjusts with her hands, an activator, and a drop table depending on what the patient prefers and what clinically has shown the best results.
Josie enjoys being outdoors and feeling renewed in nature. She likes to go on hikes with her family and two crazy dogs. In the summer, she likes to be on the water, and in the winter, going snowboarding or cross country skiing. Gardening is a passion of hers, she says it's so fun to see the garden change throughout the seasons.
I believe that movement is the key to health. I help all types of people from where they are in their health journey and treat everyone individually. I look forward to helping the Hayward community with their health goals.
