Turtle Lake, Wisconsin—A 4,600 square foot expansion at NorthLakes Community Clinic – Turtle Lake will be completed in 2022, in part due to a $140,000 grant for the clinic’s expansion received from the Otto Bremer Trust.
“We are pleased to invest in the expansion of the NorthLakes Community Clinic in Turtle Lake, which will help increase access to healthcare in Polk and Barron counties,” said Charlotte Johnson, co-CEO and trustee, Otto Bremer Trust.
The expansion includes additional clinical space for dental, behavioral health, recovery and chiropractic services. It also includes dedicated space for a Community Health Worker to provide social supports for patients. Along with these improvements the expansion will allow for an x-ray machine for patients receiving chiropractic care and a space for group therapy room for those working on recovery. The dental outreach team will also use part of the new space, further consolidating buildings and maximizing efficiency in Turtle Lake.
Of the grant, NLCC CEO Reba Rice says, “our growth is only made possible with strong community support from our patients and partners. We’re so grateful to the Otto Bremer Trust for making this investment in the Turtle Lake area which will help us continue to support the healthcare needs of the region now and into the future.”
