Another very important piece to chiropractic is preventative care. As I mentioned, pain is the most common reason people see me, but often times there is something going on long before symptoms like pain show up. Pain can be the last symptoms of a condition that may have been developing for a while. So it’s important to be checked on a regular basis to make sure everything is functioning well and to catch problems while they are small and easy to correct.
When it comes to how often a person should see their chiropractor, it’s important to remember that everyone is different and underlying factors like past injuries, scar tissue and how long a person waits to get care will play a role in how often your body needs care. Sometimes injuries and conditions can be 100% taken care of in a short period of time. Other chronic or complicated conditions may require long term management to keep things moving and functioning at its best. Every person’s care plan may differ based on factors like these and other factors as well.
