During this time, our number one priority remains the health of our patients, our team, and our community. The following video by NLCC CEO Reba Rice, shares some of the ways we’re working to keep folks safe as we slowly expand in-clinic services.
Also, here is our latest patient update on the services we’re providing and how we’re approaching in-clinic services in the coming months.
We are here to serve you.
Right now, our 14 clinics throughout northern Wisconsin remain open. We are expanding our in-clinic services and continue to offer virtual visits so that patients have access to the care they need. If you have been delaying care, now is the time to call us. We will work with you to find a safe and effective way to access care. Due to our commitment to safety, it is hard to list every type of appointment we can and will see. What we can say is that we have created safety protocols and processes for every service that we offer based on the latest CDC guidelines and recommendations.
What should I expect?
Please be prepared to experience some additional safety precautions upon your visit. First, if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, we ask that you call ahead so we can connect you to our nurses for triage and a clinical recommendation. Prior to your appointment, we will work with you to complete registration and provide you information specific to your appointment. Upon arrival, you will see that our doors remain locked. This is to limit traffic flow by only allowing patients and guardians in. Visitors will not be allowed in. Upon entry, we will take your temperatures and ask that you wear a mask. If you have one, please wear it to your appointment. Otherwise, one will be provided to you. We will make every effort possible to room you immediately. If for some reason you need to wait in our lobby, we have spaced chairs appropriately to ensure social distancing. We are also staggering appointment start times, creating one-way traffic patterns and leaving more space between patients—all as part of our commitment to keeping you safe. In some sites, we will also continue to offer curbside laboratory testing to limit people inside our clinics.
We understand this can feel scary. We want you to know that all of these steps are about the safety of you and our staff. Our hope is by remaining vigilant we can limit the spread of COVID-19, keeping our communities safe and open. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and patience during this difficult time.
Additional resources are available.
Our Community Health Workers are available for a free virtual visit. This team can help with social supports and enrolling in health insurance.
As of June 1, we will discontinue our mail-order pharmacy that was a result of COVID-19. Instead, we will be offering curbside pharmacy for patients in Iron River, Ashland and Minong. Please call ahead for your prescription and you will be given additional information at that time on the best way to pick it up.
If you are a patient and have COVID-19 specific questions, you can call our COVID-19 hotline at 715.934.0113 between 8:30 am – 5 pm, Monday thru Friday. We also have an online COVID-19 Community Resource which can be found at: https://northlakesclinic.org/covid-19-community-resource/
