Mia's professional interests center on working with adults and adolescents facing mental health challenges. She serves clients ages 10 and older, specializing in skills building, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention.
With extensive experience supporting survivors of violence, Mia brings a compassionate and structured approach to therapy. Her practice is influenced by evidence-based modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), which she integrates to provide comprehensive, individualized care for each client.
Mia is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
Mia finds joy in cozy indoor activities, especially watching movie marathons or binging TV shows with friends and family. She loves appreciating the beauty of fall and winter from the comfort of her home with a good book and a warm cup of cocoa or tea. Her downtime often includes relaxing with good company, engaging in friendly competition through board games and video games, and spending quality time playing and snuggling with furry companions.
You deserve to take a risk on yourself. Asking for and showing up for help with your mental health can be extremely difficult, but you are worth the risk! You deserve to live a life that's worth living.
