NorthLakes Community Clinic recently added four additional providers to their Clairemont Avenue team. Now seeing patients at the Eau Claire – Clairemont Avenue Clinic are Dr. Jill K. Williamson, Chiropractor; Dr. Joan Hamblin, Family Physician; Joshua Moskal, CSAC, LPC-IT, Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder Therapist; and Dr. Mark Gideonsen, Family Physician. Each provider brings their own patient-centered approach to care and their own experiences, all joining NorthLakes Community Clinic’s mission to improve the overall health and well-being of the Chippewa Valley community.
Jill K. Williamson, DC, a long-standing member of the NorthLakes team, has transitioned to the Eau Claire location, where she will continue to offer her expertise in chiropractic care.
With a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University, and a great interest in pediatrics and pregnancy, Williamson says she enjoys working with patients of any age – from infants to elderly. The chiropractor is also committed to helping patients achieve optimal health through movement, stating, “We must keep moving. Our bodies are meant to move. If pain is interfering with your movement, a tailored treatment plan might be what’s needed to help you get back to your best.”
Joan Hamblin, MD, FAAFP, joins NorthLakes with an extensive background in family medicine. Having completed her education at Northwestern University Medical School and the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Hamblin has since received numerous accolades and recognition for her contributions to patient care. She also holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatrics, underscoring her expertise in caring for elderly patients.
Throughout her career as a family physician, Hamblin has tried to help patients achieve optimal health by understanding their unique story. “I start with the patient—listening to their concerns and goals for care,” she explains. “And together, we develop a plan that aligns with their needs and the best evidence-based practices.”
Joshua Moskal, CSAC, LPC-IT, who holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, brings a compassionate and individualized approach to his role at NorthLakes. “I meet individuals where they are and work with them to achieve their personal goals. Therapy is not a quick fix; it’s a process, and I am here to support my clients every step of the way.”
The behavioral health therapist works with individuals aged 13 and up – particularly those struggling with addiction and other mental health challenges. As a U.S. Army veteran of 11 years, Moskal is also deeply committed to supporting veterans in their recovery journeys.
Mark Gideonsen, MD, FAAFP, a seasoned family physician with substantial knowledge of maternal-child health – including prenatal care and the health of newborns, children and teenagers, first became a Doctor of Medicine at Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois.
In caring for patients of all ages, one thing that’s always a key priority for Dr. Gideonsen is ensuring patients feel comfortable at their appointments. “It’s important to me that they feel safe sharing what’s really going on so I can provide the best possible care. I always consider the big picture, thinking about all the factors that might affect a patient’s health and how I can help them thrive.”
When the new clinic in Augusta, Wisconsin opens in the fall, Gideonsen will have availability to provide care for NorthLakes patients at that location, as well.
Thanks to Williamson, Hamblin, Moskal and Gideonsen for their role in broadening the area’s Behavioral Health, Chiropractic, Medical and Recovery Services, improving care for community members who may need it — regardless of their insurance status and ability to pay.
