Since I was young I found myself having a high amount of empathy for people in need of help, in any form and no matter the circumstance. I entered the medical field at 16 and went on to become a nurse. However, my own battles with mental health and substance use led me to pursue a new career being able to walk alongside peers having similar struggles. It took me 10 years but I have found that career in Peer Support.
I love spending time with my family, all my pets, and attending music festivals and concerts! Music holds a very special place within my family and especially my personal life. I also find amazing comfort being in nature: backpacking, hiking, rock hunting, rock climbing, and anything near water.
Never lose hope but if you do know that you are not alone. There are so many people ready and waiting to help you find it again! Everyone's journey is unique: you decide your pace.
